three!

on this gorgeous september day, we're celebrating little jane, who turns 3! this past weekend, we had a picnic in the park with a few friends. after dinner, we enjoyed some cake and had fun playing & opening presents. when i asked jane what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday, she said "a rainbow cake". i took that and ran with it. i did a little research online, and came up with a fun cake idea. ben and i had a lot of fun baking it, and the kids loved the fun colors when we cut into it. today i sent her to school with some rice krispy treats to share with her friends. she was also wearing her pretty new dress (courtesy of auntie al). =) tonight we plan to bring dinner to ben at work since he has to be there late, and we have a few presents left to open. happy birthday, janey!!
