today was anna's first day of school! she was VERY excited to say the least. this is her first time taking the bus to school, which put the level of excitement and anticipation at an all-time high. here are a few pictures of the girls waiting for the bus....

when the bus finally arrived, anna ran right up the stairs, and almost didn't look back- until i insisted that she pose for the camera. i was worried that jane might be jealous and want to ride too- but that was NOT an issue! i don't know if it was the sound of the bus or what, but she started crying as soon as it came to a stop, and continued crying until i brought her inside. poor girl! usually she loves anything loud or wild, but she did NOT care for the bus. we'll see what happens tomorrow!
another noteworthy first happened today. for the first time since they were married 35 years ago, my parents are moving! the closing on their house was happening today, and they will soon be starting construction on their new house. it's strange to think that i will never go back to the house that was "home" for my entire life, but i'm so happy for them to be able to have a brand new house in a beautiful, peaceful spot. thankfully they are going to be living in the same town, and will be building very close to where ben's parents live. that will be great when we are home visiting. good luck mom & dad!

AWWW! They are both too cute! I hope Anna's day went well. I can't believe how grown up our kids are becoming. And congrats to your parents too!
