we're finally in our new house! the house and neighborhood are wonderful... but unfortunately i can't say the same about our belongings. based on the condition of our things, it looks like the moving company ran out of room on the truck and just decided to drag our stuff here. or perhaps they dropped it out of a plane onto our roof?? in any case, this transition has been a challenge mostly because almost every box we unpack has something broken in it. oh yeah, and some things were missing all together. for instance- the footboard to anna's bed?? how does that get lost? we have the rest of the bed.... but that doesn't do much good without the footboard. anyway, we're getting settled slowly but surely. the girls have been having tons of fun at the pool here, and have been making new friends in the neighborhood. we're loving all of the space in our new house- it's a real treat to have some storage finally. oh, and we have a garage, which i think ben is preparing at this very moment to be his "war room" ha ha. we'll see about that. now that we finally have internet again, i'll have to try to get caught up in blog world. i hope everyone is doing well and enjoying summer! :)

i am sorry about your stuff arinn, i hope you can salvage as much as possible. that is one thing about moving, you can count on things being destroyed! i am glad for all the home upgrades esp. the garage - oh-la-la!
glad to see that you all arrived safely but that stinks that your stuff didn't. Oh the joys of moving! We'll be missing you in Maine next week!
Oh man...that stinks! We've been pretty fortunate so far with all our moves. Only a few thing here or there have been broken. I hope they take good care of you and replace your items. Email me your new address....I think we are close now. Maybe we can sneak in a visit before Jeff leaves. Have fun getting settled!
