here are some pictures from this weekend. on saturday morning, we took the girls to a strawberry farm to go picking. it was such a beautiful morning, and the strawberries were so delicious. ben and i did a lot of picking, and anna and jane.... well.... they did a lot of eating. it was fun for all. it reminded us of picking at home in NH, but we missed the view of the connecticut river valley. ;) the farm that we went to also had bees- and we found out that a new movie that was just filmed in the area, the secret life of bees, used the farm to send some of the actors to "bee school". really cool. i read the book that the movie was based on, and it was great. i'm excited to see the movie. after strawberry picking, we went to the farmer's market. we loaded up on fresh bread and veggies, and headed home. that afternoon, (and on sunday as well) we got out our new slip & slide. well, it's actually an imposter. i got it at walmart for about $8.00, and it we definitely got our money's worth out of it! the girls had so much fun, and anna's friend conner came over to join us. conner also gave the girls a ride in his john deere gator. on sunday afternoon, claire came over and we made a whopping batch of strawberry jam. it was so yummy, and it was fun to spend some time in the kitchen with my baking buddy.
