Easter

happy easter! all day long, i kept thinking back to easter sunday last year. we spent it here in NC, but it was much different. ben wasn't here, and anna spent a good portion of easter morning in the time-out chair. i sure am thankful that this year was much different! ben was here to spend easter with us- for the first time since anna was born!?! and we just had a great day. we put together fun little easter baskets for the girls (ben helped a lot with this since he's never taken part before). they opened those this morning, and loved all of the goodies! ben and i watched while he sipped on a nice cup of coffee (he gave coffee up for lent, and couldn't wait to have some on easter morning!) then, we headed to church. our church, which is usually quite full, was outrageously crowded. but we were still glad to be there, and enjoyed the company of friends. this afternoon, we continued the easter festivities by dyeing & painting eggs, and having an egg hunt out in the yard. it was so fun to watch the girls scurrying around after the eggs. this evening, we had a yummy easter dinner of baked ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, and pickled beets (thanks christina!) we were missing home, but were soooo happy to be together. we hope you all had a great easter!
