hi! we've had a busy couple of days here. last night, we had a nice potluck dinner with a bunch of our friends, and we all had a great time (and a lot of laughs). thanks ben & jamie for hosting! this morning, we "slept in" until 8:30, which is pretty much unheard of with two little ones. then we headed over to the squadron for our christmas party. instead of a sleigh and reindeer, santa arrived via a huey. even though this event happens every year, it's always so much fun to see the kids' faces when the helicopter lands and santa hops out. both of the girls got to sit on santa's lap, and surprisingly enough, neither of them were afraid. after the party, we headed to a birthday party for anna's friend nicholas. the party was at a rollerskating rink- which was a lot of fun (and very challenging for both adults and children!) ben helped anna stay on her feet, and he even took jane for a cruise- as you can see, our little adrenaline junkie LOVED it. happy birthday nicholas! tomorrow we plan to get our christmas tree. hopefully there's still one out there somewhere with needles left on it!
