Today

back in march, i entered us into the lottery for egg roll tickets.... and we won! despite the heat, we had a great time, and took away a lot of memories. we rode into the city on the train-- along with poppa, who was heading back to the airport. it was a beautiful morning for a train ride, esp. when you get to sit on the upper level! when we arrived, we passed through security, etc. and then waited for our turn to go in. while we waited, the girls kept themselves "busy" by driving us crazy (anna), whining (lucy), and balancing a juice pouch by the straw (jane). when we got onto the grounds, there were plenty of activities for the kids- a sesame street show, egg dyeing, an egg hunt, a music show, hula-hooping, face painting, and the highlight-- the egg roll. apparently jane could've used a little more schooling on her technique, since she nearly made egg salad with her egg (chunks of shell flying through the air with every blow). anna was thrilled to dance with captain planet (she said he was SOOOO handsome), and lucy fell asleep face down in daddy's arms. we got to see the white house up close, and saw the first family as well. it was a wonderful morning.

What a fun memory for them! I did that a kid, and there's nothing else quite like it.

What fun! It looks like you had a great Easter and I'm jealous that you have been having sunshine and warmth. We got 2 inches of snow on Saturday. Looking forward to Memorial Day weekend!
