despite the less-than-ideal travel conditions today, my friend ayren and i made it into the city to see these gorgeous cherry blossoms. the weather was perfect, the sight of the trees was breathtaking.... but everything else was a carnival! we battled horrific traffic, took 4 kids and 2 jogging strollers on a jam-packed metro (what were we thinking!?!?!) and shuffled around with the 4 katrillion other people who were there. it was insane. but really beautiful. i think bedtime will be coming very, very early here tonight.
